Theatre project by MIRAS

 Since this year 10th March is marked officially as National Day of Theatre in Azerbaijan. MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage and Baku Children’s Theatre presented theatre to audience which they jointly prepared on that day, i.e. 10th March.
Thus, presentation of “Ashkhas” play by Abdulla Shaig Talibzade known as known as an enlightener, a cultural figure, a poet, a prosaist, a playwright, a specialist in literature and a translator in the literary-social thought history of Azerbaijan took place currently at H. Sarabski Cultural house where Baku Children’s Theatre is situated. Art director and the head of the theatre and the spectacle’s producer Intigam Soltan gave information to the audience about project “Baku Children’s Theatre hand in hand with MIRAS”. He noted particularly active participation of MIRAS members in elaboration of the spectacle along with company of actors.
He said they worked together with member of MIRAS music group, Nazir Asadov, artist Vusal Rahim and head of video-group Teymur Najafzade.
Deputy Chairman of MIRAS Organization Arzu Soltan noted in her speech the “Ashkhas” play was first published in “Brother Help” collection by Baku Moslem Society in 1917. Recently the collection mentioned within the framework of “Charity traditions in Azerbaijan and Turkey from past to present” “Brother Help” project was transliterated, coincided with Turkish accent and published later as a book. According to her, the Organization by elucidating “Ashkhas” play covering humanity leant against justice, conscience and favour to reach its ideal and feeling with high humanistic values intends to deliver youth reality. Arzu Soltan expressed gratitude to everyone who helped with realization and elaboration of the project, particularly producers of the spectacle, Intigam Soltan and Hajibaba Mammadov, the actors and the whole team, as well as MIRAS Board and staff.
Chairman of MIRAS Organization, PhD Fariz Khalilli stated he considers appropriate concentration of the organization studying and promoting cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, on the field of theatre underscoring that he hoped this project’s perspective.
Afterwards the audience watched “Ashkhas” spectacle which was admired by everyone for plastic, music, light effects, video views, experiment scene structure and garment.
The performance is intended to be staged in different education institutions and cultural centers, as well as outside Azerbaijan.
