Dede Gorgud Culture and Art Festivity Launched

19th International Dede Gorgud Culture and Art Festivity launched in Bayburt City of Turkey on 3 July, 2013. Azerbaijan is represented by MIRAS Social Organization with large delegation. Great delegation of MIRAS Organization represented Azerbaijan. The first event of MIRAS started with ‘Azerbaijani Sights’ photo exhibition by Bayburt artist and photographer, Zeynel Abidin Ozturk at Turkic World Park and art exhibition ‘Works of Young Azerbaijani Artists’. At the opening ceremony chief of Bayburt City municipality, Haji Ali Polat; chairman of BEKDER Association, Mete Emir; chief of Bayburt Culture and Tourism Department, Adnan Okumush and other representatives took part. Art works of Aydin Asgarov- “Stepmother”, “View”, “Exhibit”; Farid Mirzayev- “Old bath-house”, “Bath-house”; Anar Husseinzade-“Still life by ancient dishes”, “Village of Ulguj”; Bakhtiyar Yusubov-“Old city”, “Rock”, “Arabushagi Village”, “Still life”; Anar Ganbarly- “Broken plates”, “Medieval Agsu Town”, “Still life over plates”; Fakhri Abbasov- “Dreams”, “Composition of antiquities”, “Fishes”; Mammad Rashidov- “Portrait” (stone figure); Vugar Gurbanov- “Still life”, “Ismayilli”, “Profusion” were shown at the exhibition. Those works were painted at I MIRAS Art Symposium.
After the opening of the exhibition, the festival participants visited Dada Gorgud Tomb in Masat Village of Bayburt. Bayburt governor Hasan Ipek, chief of Bayburt municipality Haji Ali Polat and other officials participated there. Chairman of MIRAS, Fariz Khalilli, senior lecturer of Azerbaijan Teachers’ Institute, Nazile Abdullazade and chief of Bayburt municipality Haji Ali Polat spoke during the event held nearby the tomb. There was dealt with importance of Dada Gorgud festivity, significant place of its in Turkic world and urgent moments valuable for humanity in Dada Gorgud epos. Groups performed folk dances of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Macedonia took part at the event. Dance group of teenagers of Azerbaijan State Children's Philharmonic Society presented unforgettable dances. In the end director of the Philarmonic, Dilara Zeynalova presented plaquette to Bayburt governor Hasan Ipek.
The opening of the festivity started with visiting memorial monument of Dada Gorgud in the city center and marches to government square. Dance groups and officials of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan and Georgia took part at the marching and this was welcomed with interest by city population. It ended with opening of Dada Gorgud festivity.
At the opening ceremony honorary chairman of Turkey Writers Union, Mehmet Doğan; chairman of Bayburt municipality, Haji Ali Polat; Bayburt MP Bunyamin Özbek, Gumushhane MP Feramuz Üstün, Bayburt governor Hasan İpek took part. Performances of dance groups from countries like Indonesia, Macedonia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey took part after opening speeches. Finally, dance groups of Azerbaijan State Children's Philharmonic presented Azerbaijani folk dances.
The Festivity will last till 7 July 2013.
