Exhibition "Archaeological Pearls of Azerbaijan" in Macedonia

Photo exhibition “Archaeological pearls of Azerbaijan” was co-organized by MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage and Institute for Socio-Cultural Anthropology of Macedonia on 17th January 2014 in Ohrid, Macedonia in Museum “House of Robevci”. More than 70 photos of archaeological monuments and artefacts found from the monuments by Azerbaijani and Italian photographers, Mammad Rahimov, Valter Niselli, Ruslan, Zaka Babazada and Arzu Murvatova were shown.
The employee of Institute for Socio-Cultural Anthropology of Macedonia, Dr. Rubin Zemon opened the event with introductory remark. He appreciated the collaboration on the field of cultural heritage highly.
The chairman of MIRAS Organization, Dr. Fariz Khalilli stated the initiative of the exhibition is important step in this step. The chairman expressed gratitude to all people who created opportunity for the exhibition covered historical and cultural monuments, archaeological sites and ancient dwellings of Azerbaijan.
Member of MIRAS Social Organization, Irada Gadirova gave information on archaeological explorations in Azerbaijan. She spoke about archaeological finds of Garabakh, Nakhchivan, Agsu, Gabala, Tovuz, Shamkir and other monuments.
The exhibition was welcomed with great interest. Local TV and media of Ohrid prepared reportages on the exhibition.
The guests of the exhibition were given brochure “Azerbaijani pearls”
and books of Ministry of Culture and Tourism and MIRAS Organization.
The representatives of Ohrid city council, as well as universities and scientific institutions from Macedonia, Italy, Belgium, Albania, Turkey, Belarus, Romania and France participated at the event.
The exhibition will be open for 3 days.
