MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage held a meeting on 5 May 2014 with participation of its members. Acquaintance with new members took place; information and conferences on new projects by the organization was announced; the work done within 2014 work plan and intended for next quarter, as well as thoughts of the members on the plan and proposals were discussed there. At the same time the members were put forward proposals on creation of ecological club; arrangement of MIRAS meetings in the regions every month and one-day Tangaalti tour for MIRAS members on 10 May.
The members of the organization- Elmira Abbasova, Arzu Soltan, Shola Bayramova, Elmira Abasova, Ughur Giyasi, Aida Malikova, Naila Hasanova, Arslan Ismayilzade, Ruslan Adigozalov, Nurida Huseynova, Orkhan Gambarov, Ayten Mammadli, Zaur Mammadov, Namig Huseynov, Yaqut Abiyeva, Rahim Rahimli took part at the meeting. New members introduced themselves first and stated their wishes regarding MIRAS activity. Later Arzu Soltan shared information on “clean village-protection of ecological and ethnographic identity with participation of local communes and sustainable development” project supported financially by the Council of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, monitoring conducted in Chiyni, Gagali and Ulguj villages of Agsu town and the further work to be done within the project. She stated activities of MIRAS members- Elmira Abasova, Orkhan Gambarov, Leyla Aliyeva and Aynura Aliyeva within the project and wish other MIRAS members’ becoming more active in next stages. Naila Hassanova and Aida Malikova put forward proposals on this project. Naila Hassanova said the application of villages’ cleaning of France was useful and in Aida Malikova’s opinion, study of practice of ecological tourism of US and Spain in this project is significant. They promised to work up recommendations concerning this. During the discussions archaeologist Elmira Abbasova said urgency of variety of garbage; creation of gather points for useful garbage like polyetilen, iron and others, restorer-architect Ughur Giyasi elaboration of creative presentations, biologist Elmira Abasova implementation of ecological enlightenment work among population. Naila Hassanova, Aida Malikova, Ayten Mammadli and Gulshan Huseynova expressed their wishes to join initiative on preparation of “10 audio-books” for blind people due to work plan and there was proposed to start this since May.
Gulshan Huseynova gave information on “Natural Pearls” photography exhibition declared by MIRAS Social Organization, that the exhibition is supported by Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and said from regions they had already desired participants. Thus, Tarana Mammadova, our representative in Ismayilli stated photos are collected among the schoolchildren and Sevinj Aliyeva sounded the wish of invalid children to participate there. The information about the exhibition was widely spread in social network.
Nurida Huseynova uttered the idea of creation of theatres within MIRAS Organization and their showing performance on ecological, generally cultural heritage theme. Nurida Huseynova stated she was ready to help in art and decoration, whereas Naila Hassanova said she could help with translation of performances into French language.
Ruslan Adigozalov expressed his wish to work in “Let’s protect our cultural heritage together” project on the basis of work plan and in regions within MIRAS Music Group. Gulshan Huseynova while speaking of this year’s projects noted that Ugur Giyasi, architect-restorer can work as an expert in general situation of the tomb and restoration opportunities in the project offered by Aida Malikova on “renovation work around Sheikh Dursun Tomb” and he stated his pleasure to be involved in this project. The ecological club members’ were also proposed to join to subbotniks around the tomb.
G. Huseynova touched upon the project of Nazmin Jafarova, member of MIRAS on “Monitoring of museums” stated its importance from aspect of increase of specialty of museum workers, application of new technologies in museums, research of new resources from standpoint of increase of professionalism level. She also spoke about “family-marriage relations in the regions”, the project of MIRAS member, Toghrul Mukhtarov, as well as said topics on early marriages, gender issues and family relationships will be introduced to the participants interactively and the seminar will be held in Agsu in June-July.
Later Shola Bayramova gave information about international relations of MIRAS, as well as international conferences to be held in May of this year. She dealt with obligations of MIRAS and invited all members to take active part in that conference. Naila Hassanova spoke about her impressions on archaeological excavations in Qebele and Shola Bayramova asked her to write article about this and published in MIRAS Magazine. She also added that young member of MIRAS, Arslan Ismailzade’s paper will also be published at 8th issue of the journal. The participants welcomed with interest the proposals put forward by MIRAS and asked to send again work plan for 2014 to them. There are expected extra proposals on the tour planned for 9 May.
