MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage announced art competition among youth, students and schoolchildren over the republic in order to immortalize Khojaly tragedy and bring to notice of young generation. On 25th February, 2013 “Khojaly via memories and works of art” exhibition was arranged at school No. 129 consisted of works of art submitted. The works of art from Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Art, Qafqaz University, Child World painting gallery, as well as various educational institutions of Azerbaijan’s regions and Baku were shown at the exhibition of works of art on Khojaly tragedy, its bitter results and resonance.
Principal of school No. 129, Samir Mehdizade called on the schoolchildren to learn attentively the history in opening speech.
Chairman of MIRAS Organization, PhD Fariz Khalilli spoke about history of Khojaly and noted the interest of enemies in these lands is connected with history.
The authors of work of art, amongst schoolchildren and students were given diplomas and gifts in four nominations. It was noted that the work of art demonstrated in “Khojaly via memories and work of art” exhibition will be published regularly in MIRAS Magazine.
Messages of thanks were granted to all participants of the exhibition.
