Following medieval Agsu town the guests made acquaintance of Shamakhi History and Local Lore Museum. The ambassador noted his satisfaction on the visit to medieval Agsu town and stated his will to come back again and to collaborate. It should be noted that Republic of India and Republic of Azerbaijan have mutual deep historical, cultural and economic relations. India possessing old historical past and culture, made cooperation with large states of the time for years and cultural assumptions were done. These first ties developed during Sefevyds time and the Sefevyds palace masters had great services in creation of Turkic-Islamic culture and miniature school in India. In last medieval age these cultural ties deepened with economic relations and Azerbaijani area was on the focus of Indian merchants. Ateshgah which is attractive today for thousands of tourists, especially Indian tourists is one of the obvious cases of that time. Indian and Azerbaijan Republic undergone the same period from political scope and both countries felt the impact of colonial oppression and gained independence as a result of intolerable struggle. Visit of the ambassador of India to Azerbaijan to medieval Agsu town on the eve of 28 May, republican day assumes special importance from this viewpoint.
Nowadays cultural, economic relations develop between two states and we hope for application of mutual experiences in the field of archaeological researches in this respect.
