On 21 June, 2013 the art exhibition ‘displays of Molla Nasiraddin heritage in contemporary world’ was opened at Baku Art Gallery by MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage.
Well-known artist Yusif Mirza opening the event congratulated the youth artists and talked about the activity of MIRAS Organization over the display and promotion of their talent. Chairman of MIRAS Organization, PhD Fariz Khalilli said in his speech that, the exhibition aims at demonstrating appearances of “Molla Nasiraddin” heritage nowadays. The artists tried to indicate the synthesis of novelty, enlightenment and modernism through satire and humour in their work.
It was stressed during the speeches that 25 art workS of the artists devoted to the themes elucidated in “Molla Nasiraddin” journal were shown at the exhibition.
The work of Yaylagul Ramazanova, Surayya Abdullali, Mardan Mammadov, Shahin Guliyev, Matanat Aghazade, Aydan Aghazade, Kanan Mammadov, Anar Panahov, Anar Shamsiyev, Gurban Orujlu, Emin Elishov, Vugar Gurbanov, Konul Mammadova, Vusala Talibova and others is shown.
The work of young artists “Superstitious people” “You won”, “Mollah thinks”, “Molla Nasiraddin” and modernity”, “Mollah’s property”, “Sabir and satires”, “What must we do with Fatma and Tukezbans”, “Post-box”, “Creation of Mollah Nasiraddin” personages”, “”Bondmaid’s slave” and others was welcomed with interest.
In the end the artists were granted certificated. The exhibition will last on 22 June as well.
