President of North Cyprus Turk Republic, Dervish Eroglu made a speech at the forum. The President stressed Azerbaijan is brotherhood country for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Cyprus Turks’ treating sensitively any issue on Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan’s being a country strengthened day by day and its position and important role of Azerbaijan in elimination of embargos applied to TRNC.
Chairman of Azerbaijani Students Association, Elchin Suleymanov and rector of Eastern Mediterranean University, Prof. Abdullah Oztoprag said Azerbaijani students play active role in social life of the university and TRNC and act productively in propagation of Azerbaijanism ideals.
Speeches of MPs of the Azerbaijan Republic, Gular Ahmadova and Sadagat Valiyeva were welcomed with great interest by the forum participants. The MPs made wide exchange of views around cares and problems of the Azerbaijani students within the framework of the forum.
One of the organizers, chairman of MIRAS Social Organization, Dr. Fariz Khalilli noted Azerbaijani state implemented large scale work in the domain of investigation, preservation and propagation of cultural heritage and MIRAS does socially active work in this line.
Prof. Dr. Gafar Jabiyev stated Azerbaijan is a country known for old history and rich culture along with being only oil country worldwide and important transportation corridor for Europe and Asia. The speaker shared detailed information on large-scale explorations to be held together with scientists abroad in the monuments of all stages of history in Azerbaijan, monumental scientific work displayed last years by historian scientists.
Ali Panahov, chairman of Nizami branch of Youth Union of New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) and department head of MIRAS Organization, Shola Bayramova gave comprehensive information to the forum participants on succcessful youth policy implemented in Azerbaijan.
The questions of the youth students were responded within the scope of the forum and an exhange of views was held on the problem which they raised.
A joint declaration defined basic directions of future activities of Azerbaijan and TRNC youth was adopted at the forum.
