International Culture, Art and Folklore Congress/ Art Exhibition was co-organized in Rostov-on-Don city of Russia on 23-27 April, 2015 by Southern Federal University (Russia), Selcuk University (Turkey) and MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage (Azerbaijan).
The opening of the symposium was held on 23 April in Southern Federal University by Dr. Anton Ivaneshko. He stated his satisfaction of co-arrangement of this symposium with Seljuk University from Turkey and MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage, Azerbaijan. Later, the chairman of the symposium’s organization committee Ahmet Aytac delivered a speech. He underscored that organization of such a symposium in Rostov, in the place near Azak, Turkic land during Ottoman period by institutions of three countries-Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia will contibute significantly to economic and cultural relations among them.
During the symposium 50 presentations and 12 posters from Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia were presented.
Posters on the theme “Ancient Turkic art on the territory of Azerbaijan” of Rena Abdullayeva, employee of ANAS Institute of Architecture and Art; “Development of culture and folklore by Turks of Sehrana Kasimi; “Existing sanctuaries and places for pilgrimage in Sheki region and surrounding villages” of Rahim Hasanov, Elshan Abdurrahmanov, Anar Azizsoy, ANAS Shaki Regional Scientific Centre; “the ancient roots and current situation of the heritage of traditional mastery in Sheki region of Azerbaijan” of Anar Azizsoy, Gunel Musayeva, Pakiza Zakirova; “The witness of material and spiritual culture getting stoned – gravestones” of Nargiz Asadullayeva, Ramil Teymurov and Shafag Mahmudova were presented at the symposium.
The presentation of Prof. Dr. Gafar Jabiyev, Dr. Fariz Khalilli, Dr. Alexey Pronin and Sergey Roslyakov on “primary results of researches conducted through metal detectors in early medieval Mehravan city” which is joint study of Azerbaijani and Russian scientists was welcomed with interest.
The participants were granted certificates in the end, the heads of the symposium committee given honourary diplomas.
