MIRAS Widens Member Rows

The meeting was arranged with new members of MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage at the office of the Organization. The chairman of MIRAS Organization, Dr. Fariz Khalilli welcomed the participants and stated his gladness of seeing them among the rows of MIRAS. Acquaintance with new members took place; information on previous conferences and new projects by the organization was given; new conferences declared, the work done and provided within 2015 work plan, as well as the members’ proposals on MIRAS projects and activity were discussed there. During the meeting the projects like “clean village-protection of ecological and ethnographic identity with participation of local communes and sustainable development”, “10 audio-books” for blind people were mentioned. The members gave interesting proposals. They shared their ideas of archaeological camps for students, cultural heritage and tourism seminars in educational institutions, realization of projects on the monuments’ protection, etc. The participants were given wide information on active participation of MIRAS members in Erasmus+ education exchange program to be held in Agsu and Belgium in April, 2015, 1st International Tarakama Charshanba Folklore Festival to be held on 16-18 March in Agsu, 1st International Symposium on Genocides of History: Facts, Realities, Falsifications on 2-3 April in Baku, International Culture, Art and Folklore Congress/ Art Exhibition on 23-27 April in Rostov on Don, Russia.
It was noted during the meeting that YOCOCU 2014 has represented a bridge between two cultures, the European one and that of the Caucasus region, with the message: “Cultural heritage is our common resource and it belongs to all of us!”. For this reason YOCOCU 2014 has been an extraordinary union of people and intentions that has allowed us to minimize the differences in methods and materials applied for the conservation of cultural heritage and the promotion of youth involvement in this sector.
International YOCOCU Association was established at YOCOCU 2014 Agsu conference. During 1st International Youth Forum of Cultural Heritage and Tourism on 2 February 2015 there was signed memorandum of collaboration among International YOCOCU Association and MIRAS Social Organization. According to the terms of the memorandum, MIRAS Social Organization will realize Azerbaijan network of International YOCOCU Association. So, chairman of MIRAS Social Organization will lead Azerbaijani branch of the Association.
It was stated that it is possible to register via MIRAS web-site by filling the application form to become member of International YOCOCU Association.
