Azerbaijani Historical and Cultural Heritage Presented in Glasgow

As is known, on 2-5 September, 2015 there was held XXI annual meeting of European Association of Archaeologists in Glasgow city of UK. More than 1800 archaeologists participated at the meeting from different continents of the world.
Within 3 days over 1000 reports were heard in 20 sessions. On 5th September leading scientific worker of ANAS Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, Professor Gafar Jabiyev, chairperson for MIRAS Social Organization in Support of Studying of Cultural Heritage, PhD Fariz Khalilli and president of International YOCOCU Association, PhD on chemistry, Andrea Macchia had a presentattion on “Researches in Azerbaijan: the Medieval Ceramics of Agsu” in the session Interpreting the Archaeological Record: Material studies and this was welcomed with great interest. As noted in the report, ceramicwares revealed upon archaeological explorations during 2010-2015 years in Agsu were analized both chemically and optically in Calabria University of Italy, and generalized.
At the conference employee of ANAS Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, PhD Safar Ashurov made a report on “Kur-Araz cultural monuments of Nakhchivan” and PhD Mikayil Mustafayev –“ Pari Castle in Zagatala region”.
Some books were given to library of Glasgow University published by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan and MIRAS Social Organization.
